Sad Accordions began as a project in Houston between two friends, Seth Woods and Ben Lance, who shared a love of music while quickly realizing each other's talents in producing music. With the addition of a few more talented musicians, Sad Accordions began their musical journey in Austin, Texas.
The band recorded A Bad Year For The Sharons in 2006. In 2011, the band released The Colors and the Kill that displayed their growth and sonic maturity as a band.
The band has created a sound that borrows from various genres to create one that is all their own.
